Mercedes-Benz Download Manager is an application that allows you to download latest updates for Mercedes-Benz navigation system. 1 Identifying device
Mercedes installs various devices in their vehicles.

That database download only works with Mercedes Comand Online and Mercedes MBUX!
Pay special attention between NTG5.1 (Comand Online) and NTG5Star1 (Garmin Map Pilot).
1.1 Mercedes Comand Online NTG 4.5 / 4.7
Identify NTG 4.5 and NTG 4.7 devices by the hidden engineering mode (mostly in vehicles from 2011-2014).
Press and hold down RED PHONE KEY and # and 1 to open the hidden engineering mode.
Go to Engineering Mode > 3. HU information > 3.1 Navi core information.
The identification 'FL Ver .: BLD-NR-172' stands for NTG 4.5 device.
Speed cameras are displayed only visual (no acoustic warning) with version FL Ver .: BLD-NR-172 3.13.
Speed cameras are alerted visual and acoustic with version FL Ver.: BLD-NR-172 10.07 and higher.
The identification 'FL Ver.: BLD-NTG47' stands for NTG 4.7 device.
Acoustic and visual alerts available in all devices.
1.2 Mercedes Comand Online NTG 5.0 / 5.1 / 5.2 / 5.5
You don't find the hidden engineering mode in NTG 5.x devices.
Note: Personal POIs are unavailable in some devices of the NTG 5.x series:
Speed camera installation is not available in A-Class W177 from May 2018.
Speed camera installation is not available in C-Class W205 from July 2018.
Speed camera installation is not available in E-Class W213 / S213 / C238 / A238 and G-Class W463 from May 2018.

Mercedes Benz Garmin Map Pilot Download Manager Mac Free
Open the menu Settings > System > System information.
Mercedes MBUX devices require latest software version apilevel/ntg6/080.
The previous software version apilevel/ntg6_fup2/063 was buggy.
2 Free sample file
The free sample file for UK allows you to test if POIs can be installed on your navigation device.
Install sample file according to this installation guide.
The sample file does not cover all speed cameras. It should only show the installation procedure.
If you find after the installation of the sample file a SCDB category in the Personal POIs menu, you are able to install the full database.
Note for the registration: It does not matter which NTG model you choose. All Comand Online and MBUX devices get the same download file.
Try before purchase. Refund excluded after download started of full database.
3 Download speed cameras
Go to our product page for Mercedes Comand Online & MBUX.
We offer only data of fixed speed cameras.
Press button Download.- Make your decision on the download page.
Use preselection on the left or country list on the right.
Press CTRL key for multiple choice.Attention: Mercedes Comand Online and MBUX devices have a limit.
Choose from all countries worldwide. But devices can only install nearly 30.000 POIs.
Do not choose 'Europe'. Because 58,000 European speed cameras would exceed this limit.
Select only the countries you really travel to. Use the statistics page for the estimation about which countries you want to choose in order to not exceed the limit. - There are three options in step 2.
Split the database in one or more files.
Note: All Mercedes devices can not import custom POI icons.
Split into all categories will download the database as many files for different camera types with .
Split into speed cameras and redlights will download the database as two files for speed cameras and redlights.
All safety cameras in one category will download the database as only one file (POI category).
The number of speed cameras is the same for each option, no matter how many files the download contains. - Press button Download Now.
Save file mercedes-comand-online.zip on your hard disc.
Note: In most cases, the file is saved directly to the download folder of the computer.
Depending on your browser settings, sometimes you can choose the save location by yourself. Unpack the zip file.
Unpacking on a Windows computer: right-klick on the zip file > Extract all...
Unpacking on a Mac Computer: double-klick on the zip file.
4 Installation of speed cameras

- Connect an SD card to the computer.
Reformat the SD card as FAT32 (not: FAT/FAT16 or exFAT).
Do not use quick format.Important notes:
There are various types of SD cards available. One distinguishes between SD cards and SDHC/SDXC cards. SD cards usually have a size of max. 2GB. SDHC/SDXC cards are available from 4GB upwards. Some devices can only read SD cards. Try various large and small SD cards in case of any doubt or issues. The theme of SD cards is quite complex, as there are different SD standards and speed classes. Not all devices are compatible with all card variants. Read more about SD cards on Wikipedia: SD card. - Connect the formatted SD card to the Comand Online device.
Go to menu Navi > PersonalPOI > Manage PersonalPOI categories > New.
Create a new PersonalPOI category. Choose a name for the category (e.g. SCDB or Speedcam).
That step creates folder PersonalPOI on the SD card.Remove the SD card from the device.
Connect the SD card to the computer.
Copy and paste unzipped GPX files into the folder PersonalPOI on the SD card.
e.g. 1: Split into all categories
e.g. 2: All safety cameras in one category
Remove the SD card from the computer.
- Insert the SD card to the device.
Turn on the ignition.
Wait a few minutes. The data from SD card will be loaded in the background.
This process may take up to 10 minutes; depending on how many POIs are installed. Stay patient.- Go to Navi > Options > Personal POIs > Display on the map. Enable imported SCDB categories.
Go to Navi > Options > Personal POIs > Alert when approaching. Enable the following options: Audible + Visual + imported SCDB categories. Restart the device.
- The SD card has to remain inserted while driving.
It's impossible to transfer the POIs into the internal storage.
Unfortunately, you cannot change the icon. Device software uses default icon. Importing of own icons is impossible in Mercedes Comand Online devices.

4.3 Instructions for MBUX NTG 6.0
Important: Mercedes MBUX devices require latest software version apilevel/ntg6/080.
Connect a USB flash drive to the computer.
- Reformat the USB-stick as FAT32 (not: FAT/FAT16 or exFAT).
Do not use quick format. - Open Windows Explorer (or Mac: Finder).
Create new folder PersonalPOI on the USB flash drive. (Right-click on a blank space > New > Folder).
Pay attention to upper and lower case. Do not use spaces. Copy and paste unzipped GPX files into the directory PersonalPOI on the USB flash drive.
e.g. 1: Split into all categories
e.g. 2: All safety cameras in one category
Remove the USB flash drive from the computer.
Insert the USB flash drive to MBUX device.
Turn on the ignition.
Wait a few minutes. The data from USB will be loaded in the background.
This process may take up to 10 minutes; depending on how many POIs are installed. Stay patient.- Go to Setup > Advanced > POI symbols.
Enable the feature (POI symbols).
Note: The menu is grayed out while the data is being loaded from USB. - Proceed to ... > POI symbols > Personal POIs.
The screen shows all custom POI categories on the USB flash drive.
Enable all SCDB categories.
Note: In our example we installed only one POI category (SCDB_Camera). You certainly have more. - Open each POI category.
Each category must be individually set to enable Visual and Audible. - During your drive the speedcam icon will appear on the map.
Unfortunately, you cannot change the icon. Importing of own icons is impossible in Mercedes MBUX devices. Device software uses only a default icon. The USB flash drive has to remain inserted while driving.
It's impossible to transfer the POIs into the internal storage.
5 Additional notes
The speed cameras are displayed in the map as 'X' or with a camera icon (depends on software version).
The zoom level may be max. 1 to 3 km (depends on device).
Importing of own icons is impossible for all devices. Device software uses always default icon.
Audible warning can not be adjusted depending on the distance.
Speed cameras are alerted according to the method of radius search. Therefore, you can get alerts also for opposite carrieways.

Repeat all steps of the guide above to update speed cameras in your device.
Monthly updates will be recommended.
