Even though the game style is completely different from most Halo games, Halo Wars 2 maintains many of the elements that make any Halo game great. Not only is it full of action for a real-time strategy game, but it's also well written. The plot needs not to envy that of any numbered entry in the series.
In fact, it is actually one of the best narratives we've seen in any Halo game. Adding depth to the story and context to the whole conflict. Halo Wars 2 even introduces a new interesting villain called Atriox.

The characters are well-developed, and each mission has rich amounts of content to it, texts to expand the world and different ways to face them. It's also clear how the game resembles the Total War series developed by The Creative Assembly. And it should since they are both developed by the same company.

Gameplay: Adapting, preparation and learning are key to beat this game. A challenging experience that might give you some headaches, but it's a highly rewarding experience.
Sound: An amazing soundtrack, once again one of the best seen in the series. Bringing back the classic feel, while having new themes that fit the game and its gameplay perfectly. The sound is very high-quality, so every explosion and shooting sounds excellent.
